ABOUT THE TEACHING PRACTICE COMMITTEE

The Teaching Practice Committee of Teachers Training College (B.Ed.), Aalo operates as a statutory and academic body constituted under the regulatory framework of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), Doimukh, Itanagar, and the Norms and Standards of ERC-NCTE, New Delhi. It is responsible for planning, supervising, assessing, and ensuring quality in the School Internship and Teaching Practice Programme—an essential component of the B.Ed. curriculum.

The Committee implements the Teaching Practice Framework in accordance with RGU’s curriculum and NCTE Regulations (2014). It ensures the systematic placement of trainees in recognized practice-teaching schools through formal institutional linkage and correspondence with District Education Authorities and school heads.

It oversees micro-teaching sessions, simulation activities, lesson planning, peer evaluation, and mentoring processes, while monitoring the effectiveness of teaching-learning engagements through supervision, reflective journals, feedback documentation, and digital evaluation mechanisms.

The Committee also facilitates orientation programmes for mentors and trainees, ensuring ethical teaching practices, professionalism, and institutional accountability. Reports and consolidated evaluations are submitted periodically to the Principal and IQAC for academic audit.
