ABOUT THE RESEARCH ADVISORY COMMITTEE (RAC)

The Research Advisory Committee (RAC) of Teachers Training College (B.Ed.), Aalo operates under the academic and statutory framework of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), Doimukh, and the regulatory norms of ERC–NCTE, New Delhi. It functions as the highest consultative and supervisory body for strengthening the research ecosystem of the institution.

RAC formulates research policies, sets institutional research priorities, evaluates proposals, and ensures academic integrity and ethical compliance. It monitors ongoing research activities and guides faculty and trainees in adopting methodologically sound and academically rigorous research practices.

It promotes interdisciplinary and socially relevant research aligned with NEP 2020, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and teacher education priorities. The committee also facilitates collaborations with academic institutions, government bodies, and research agencies for project funding and professional partnerships.

RAC ensures adherence to plagiarism policies, citation norms, and intellectual property ethics as prescribed by UGC and NCTE, thereby safeguarding the authenticity and quality of institutional research.

OBJECTIVES OF THE RESEARCH ADVISORY COMMITTEE (RAC)
  1. To establish a research-driven institutional culture aligned with RGU and NCTE guidelines.
  2. To encourage evidence-based, action-oriented, and innovative research in teacher education.
  3. To evaluate, approve, and monitor research proposals ensuring ethical and methodological rigor.
  4. To develop research collaborations with universities, NGOs, and government agencies.
  5. To uphold academic integrity, plagiarism control, and intellectual property norms.
  6. To enhance research capacity through workshops, seminars, and faculty development programmes.
  7. To support publication and dissemination of research in peer-reviewed and indexed platforms.
  8. To align institutional research with NEP 2020 and SDG priorities.
FUNCTIONS OF THE RESEARCH ADVISORY COMMITTEE (RAC)
  1. To scrutinize and approve research proposals as per RGU and NCTE norms.
  2. To mentor faculty and trainees in planning and executing research projects.
  3. To review the progress of research periodically through reports and presentations.
  4. To enforce ethical guidelines, plagiarism policies, and research integrity norms.
  5. To guide publication, dissemination, and documentation of research findings.
  6. To facilitate collaborations and funding applications with external research bodies.
  7. To organize workshops, symposia, and methodological training sessions.
  8. To align all research activities with NEP 2020, SDG frameworks, and national educational priorities.
