ABOUT THE ALUMNI COMMITTEE

The Alumni Committee of Teachers Training College (B.Ed.), Aalo, functions as an institutional statutory body constituted in consonance with the regulatory prescriptions of the Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), Doimukh, Itanagar, the affiliating authority, and the Eastern Regional Committee, National Council for Teacher Education (ERC-NCTE), New Delhi, the recognizing body. The Committee is entrusted with the institutional obligation of sustaining a perpetual academic, professional, and socio-cultural interface between the Alma Mater and its graduates, thereby promoting a continuum of educational excellence and collegial solidarity. The Committee operates as an advisory-cum-executive organ for the formulation and implementation of alumni-related policies, maintaining a digitized alumni database, and coordinating with ex-students engaged in diverse pedagogical and administrative domains. It endeavors to institutionalize alumni participation in curriculum enrichment, professional development, educational innovations, and extension services consonant with the institutional vision and the statutory norms of the affiliating and recognizing authorities. The Committee further assumes the responsibility of convening periodic Alumni Conclaves and Interactive Symposia to deliberate upon emerging educational trends, policy realignments, and institutional advancement strategies. It also facilitates mentorship linkages, career guidance sessions, and collaborative outreach initiatives directed towards community empowerment and teacher competency enhancement. In the administrative domain, the Alumni Committee functions under the overarching supervision of the Principal and submits its annual report, inclusive of audited accounts and activity documentation, to the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Governing Body for perusal and record. Thus, the Alumni Committee of Teachers Training College (B.Ed.), Aalo, stands as a dynamic statutory mechanism fostering academic reciprocity, institutional sustainability, and professional fellowship in adherence to the directives of RGU and ERC-NCTE.

OBJECTIVES OF THE ALUMNI COMMITTEE
  1. To build and maintain a structured digitised alumni network that preserves continual academic professional and social engagement between the institution and its graduates.
  2. To involve alumni in academic governance curriculum revision and quality improvement initiatives in line with RGU and ERC-NCTE guidelines.
  3. To foster mentorship linkages where alumni working in education administration and research support the career development of current trainees.
  4. To organise Alumni Conventions symposia and consultative forums addressing contemporary educational practices and institutional advancement.
  5. To mobilise alumni expertise and resources for infrastructure support outreach projects and capacity building interventions.
  6. To document and showcase alumni achievements through digital and print communication as institutional benchmarks of excellence.
  7. To coordinate with IQAC the Governing Body and other institutional units in preparing annual reports strategic plans and quality sustenance measures involving alumni.
  8. To ensure compliance and accountability in all alumni activities financial transactions and communications as per institutional and regulatory norms.
FUNCTIONS OF THE ALUMNI COMMITTEE
  1. To frame and implement alumni engagement policies consistent with the academic ordinances of RGU and the regulations of NCTE.
  2. To maintain update and verify a digitised alumni registry containing demographic academic and professional details for effective networking and collaboration.
  3. To convene annual and periodic alumni meetings workshops and academic colloquia to discuss curriculum innovation pedagogical reforms and institutional priorities.
  4. To encourage alumni representation in institutional bodies such as IQAC Academic Council and extension units for shared governance and quality enhancement.
  5. To coordinate alumni-driven academic outreach programmes including seminars workshops mentorship and community engagement activities.
  6. To mobilise intellectual financial and infrastructural support from alumni for institutional development and inclusive educational initiatives.
  7. To prepare and submit annual activity and audited financial reports of alumni engagements to the Principal IQAC and the Governing Body.
  8. To uphold transparency ethical governance and statutory compliance in all alumni-related undertakings.
