ABOUT THE MAGAZINES & MEDIA COMMITTEE

The Magazines & Media Committee of Teachers Training College B.Ed., Aalo works under the academic and statutory guidelines of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), Doimukh, and ERC–NCTE, New Delhi. It acts as an institutional platform for encouraging literary expression, creative communication, documentation, and public representation of the college through print and digital media.

The Committee manages the planning, editing, and publication of the college magazine, newsletters, press releases, and official media reports. It ensures that all institutional content adheres to academic correctness, ethical norms, and legal standards of media communication.

It also coordinates with media professionals, news agencies, and academic networks to promote institutional activities and strengthen the college’s academic visibility. The Committee identifies and mentors students with creative and journalistic skills, building their linguistic and editorial capacity.

The Committee maintains archives of media publications, photographs, and digital records for documentation, accreditation, and academic audits. It also monitors institutional communication on digital and social platforms to uphold professionalism, transparency, and institutional dignity.

OBJECTIVES OF THE MAGAZINES & MEDIA COMMITTEE
  1. To publish the college magazine, newsletters, and bulletins following RGU and NCTE guidelines.
  2. To ensure ethical, accurate, and credible dissemination of institutional information.
  3. To develop student skills in writing, editing, design, and academic journalism.
  4. To enhance institutional visibility through coordinated media engagement.
  5. To maintain a centralized media archive for accreditation, review, and documentation.
  6. To regulate official communication and digital publicity ensuring legal compliance.
  7. To build media networks with print and electronic media for academic outreach.
  8. To promote transparency and reflective communication through quality publications.
FUNCTIONS OF THE MAGAZINES & MEDIA COMMITTEE
  1. To plan, design, and publish the college magazine and newsletters showcasing academic and cultural activities.
  2. To ensure editorial, linguistic, and ethical quality in all publications.
  3. To act as the official link between the institution and external media houses for verified communication.
  4. To maintain a comprehensive archive of media publications, photographs, and digital records.
  5. To mentor students in media literacy, creative writing, and editorial design.
  6. To ensure compliance with copyright, intellectual property, and media ethics regulations.
  7. To collaborate with IQAC and academic bodies for quality representation of institutional activities.
  8. To promote the college’s academic and cultural identity through responsible media engagement.
